Time to elaborate on Ayreon's The Human Equation album, and why I feel it is not only the best album of 2004; but possibly of all time. First of all, the vocals. I think Arjen picked just the right people for each person or emotion.

The Mars Volta 'De-Loused in a Comatorium': As mentioned in a previous entry, this ceedee is amazingly great and original. There is just an energy in the music that is undescribable.
